Research | Current

My current research is the field of advanced polymeric materials, particularly those based on conducting polymers, and their application in health and bioelectronics as well as polymer electronics devices.

Current projects

Currently, a number of projects on conducting polymers run, in collaboration with the research groups from the School of Chemical Sciences, Medicine, Engineering (“Polymer Electronics Research Centre”) as well as with external institutes such as Plant and Food Research. The projects include:

  • Development of novel bio-sensors based on conducting polymers
  • Stretchable and self-healing organic polymer conductors
  • Conducting polymers-based actuators
  • Conducting polymer self-assembled nanostructures
  • Functionalisation of organic materials and electronic polymers
  • Graphene-based bio-sensors
  • Fabrication of bio-sensors based on electrospun fibers
