Course details: FOODSCI 788 A & B BSc (Hons) Dissertation in Food Science and Technology (45 points)

Description: A research proposal will be prepared on the dissertation topic. Students will be required to present an overview of the proposal in a seminar. Students will participate in the critical analysis of scientific papers. The student will carry out an original piece of research. The results of which will be presented and discussed in a dissertation. A seminar based on the research will be given. To complete this course students must enrol in FOODSC1 789 A and B.

This course should be taken over two consecutive semesters. Students should enrol in FOODSC1 789A in the first semester they start the course and FOODSC1 789A in the following semester. Students will be only be allowed to take the single semester course option, FOODSC1 789, in very exceptional circumstances and should contact the course coordinator before enrolling.
